Integrative Movement

Our bodies hold great wisdom; we must therefore speak the body’s language to access that knowledge.

Throughout time people have gathered to dance for ritual, celebration and expression. We are social beings who desire to be witnessed in our most authentic expression.

Integrative movement uses breathe and improvisational dance to warm our bodies for increased awareness, flexibility and strength. We will then explore though movement the different facets of our inner worlds of images, emotions, sensations and impulses. In these classes, participants are empowered to find how they want to move, as they follow the wisdom of the body to allow the Self to be more integrated and alive.

Dorit works with the unique facets of each person to draw on their inner strength, creativity and values to help develop a more balanced, integrated and content life. With a background in contemporary dance, yoga, authentic movement, mindfulness meditation, Alexander technique and Feldenkrais, she brings a wealth of knowledge, insight, sensitivity and experience.

Please call if you are interested in attending a day workshop in the Fall of 2010.

Refer to the All Dance Project: Dance Practice is an improvisational class that is based on the same principals as Integrative Movement.
